Tohuaxan in tlahtole / Our Language

People of all ages, including children, parents and grandparents are invited to meet in a class to learn the recipes and cook dishes such as tamales, mole, chiles rellenos, sauces, etc. The class will use traditional ingredients to encourage people to share their stories and memories about food, cooking and culture. One of the main reasons why the Nahuatl language is in danger is because it is not transmitted to the next generation, so we want to create an opportunity to share their stories and language through cooking classes. We want to use food and cooking as a means to transmit our language, culture and history to the next generation.
